Waiting.

With all the dry provisioning done, it has to wait for onboarding til Opus passes thru Customs and is in White Rock, BC per Skipper’s preference. It will be a big chore to divide and conquer the food stuffs: what to keep nearby, put in ‘deeper’ stowage, and determine what goes where. Meanwhile there’s time to futz with organizing my berth, do other ‘chores’, have a little fun and write some blog posts.

We’ve divided time driving from Kevin’s home in White Rock to Opus’ home in Point Roberts. Here, Karenn and Kevin are taking a sounding off the public pier in White Rock where we hope to tie up for 3 nights.

Nope, not deep enough for Opus during low tides with her 9′ draft. We’ll have to anchor off and use the dinghy.

Oh Canada. eh?

Crewmate Karenn is energetic, silly, and serious. Upbeat attitude, adventurous spirit and aboard Opus for about 5 weeks beginning in Shearwater, BC. Hopefully we’ll have several nights in Glacier Bay before she departs us in Hoonah, AK.
