Traveling? Vacationing? What am I Doing?

As days become weeks and weeks become months, I hope the months will become years with Lulu. Every day is something new and different. It is ever-transforming. Discovering, exploring, meeting people, moving on. Beauty, uncertainty, connections, mistakes.
It is ever-evolving. While the first two and a half months in October, November and December were dark, wet, stormy and mostly indoors on the Washington and Oregon coast, I’m finding March and April, mostly in Arizona, to be outdoors, in the sun with new sights and experiences every day. I’m not sure this could be considered vacationing. It’s just not as relaxing, or short-lived as vacations are. Maybe this is traveling.

I’m finding an eagerness to spend more time in one area, digging deeper into it’s past or just appreciating being in it’s presence. Exploring Arizona gives me a cursory look at possibilities for spending more time in certain places. Perhaps while traveling, one discovers where they’d like to remain for a spell.

Just because there’s wheels on this tiny home doesn’t mean they always have to be rolling.

Next fall, perhaps I’ll try staying in one area longer, delving deeper, learn more about the culture, the history, the place. A week, a month, a year. Who knows what paths and decisions will unfold. No matter what presents itself, just keeping an open mind without a hard plan in place will provide the necessary ingredients for rich rewards.
