The Chula Vista Marina, just south of San Diego is great! Clean, secure, friendly, but not overly so. With privileges to use the exercise room, the pool, and spa at the adjacent RV park, it’s been a great stay! A 15 minute walk gets us to a movie theater, shopping center, sushi, and the light rail which we’ve used to get to Old Town San Diego, and the San Diego Zoo. Uber has been helpful too. Yesterday, Rod and I ventured to Mexico using Uber. With the Marina’s close proximity to the border, at a reasonable cost we were able to get dropped off, hop out, walk a block and be crossing the border. Easy peasy! Locating the Federal Banjercito was not so easy, but the mission was accomplished, which was to secure a temporary import permit (TIP) for Quijote to legally sail in Mexican waters and ports.
There seems to be more folks with Spanish as a first language on both sides of the border. However, we tried some Spanish, they tried some English and all went well.
Nope. No border wall or fence in sight.
